Trainee (f/m/d) in Technical Product Design | Bremerhaven
Jörss-Blunck-Ordemann GmbH (JBO GmbH) has been an owner-managed company for over 60 years, specializing in structural engineering, project planning, and construction engineering for complex civil and structural engineering projects. Our employees have also been active in the offshore wind sector for over 15 years, focusing on structural design, loads, research, and testing.
As a Technical Product Designer, after a basic course in technical drawing, you will be using modern 3D CAD systems with Autodesk Inventor software. Your training will take place in the "Technical Design and CAD" department of our engineering/planning office and will primarily focus on offshore wind. You will create 3D models, assemblies, associated drawings, and detailed designs. Additionally, you will generate parts lists, mass calculations, and write descriptions and specifications as needed. You will work closely with the project engineers and your trainers.
Your tasks
- Creating 3D models and their specifications using state-of-the-art 3D CAD software
- Producing scaled execution and detail drawings
- Preparing technical documentation
- Implementing drawing changes and managing drawing versions
The specific tasks to be performed can be adjusted and weighted based on the applicant's interests, as long as it is consistent with the training content.
Your profile
- Very good, qualified intermediate school-leaving certificate (Realschulabschluss), advanced technical college entrance qualification (Fachabitur), general qualification for university entrance (Abitur) or completed vocational training in a technical field
- Technical interest and understanding

Your tasks
• Preparation of verifiable fracture-mechanical calculations using analytical and numerical methods
• Activities related to identifying damage, finding causes and drafting repair measures
• Demanding tasks in the field of wind energy, bridge construction, mechanical engineering
• Supporting accompaniment of research projects in the field of structural mechanics and fracture mechanics

Your profile

Collaboration and assistance in the following activities
- Creation of testable, static-design documents for demanding structural and civil engineering projects in new construction (Office and residential buildings) and when building in existing buildings
- Creation of mass determinations (excavation of earth, concrete volumes, reinforcing steel and structural steel masses)
- Creation of position and overview plans with the help of relevant CAD solutions, with the modern working method - Building Information Modeling - (BIM)
- Compilation of stats and plans for shipping
- General support for the project teams
Your profile
- Student in a bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering
- Friendly and confident appearance, communication, and team skills
- Fluent knowledge of German, spoken and written
